Ok,tomorrow I'm getting this thing aligned. I put an Eibach Pro-Kit on & it lowered the front 1.2 inches & the back 1 inch. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you get caster camber plates?

Before you leave the alignment place make sure you look at the rack and check the dust boots, alot of alignment techs dont feel that its nessisary to unclamp the dust boots, so they become twisted up and can rip open, sometimes when they actually do unclamp the boots they break the clamps, make sure they re-clamped them.

Drive the car around and if it feels off at all bring it back.

I have never had good luck with alignment shops so now I just do it myself at school, you wouldn't believe how crappy some alignment jobs are performed. I aligned my car myself a couple weeks after bringing it to an alignemnt shop and but tie rod jam nuts were lose and the toe was way out, not to mention the dust boots were all twisted up.

Thanks for nothin Big 10 tires.

Many alignment "techs" are just a step above, or even less than oil changers. Most just "toe and go". There are a few out there that are good.

You might need C/C plates to get it right. If the alignment tech doesn't know how to use them, well, thats one of the ones you don't want touching your car. A real alingment tech will LOVE the C/C plates.

Sometimes, a bumpsteer kit is nessasary, some use offset rack bushings, but generally, lowering can effect the geomertry of the tie rods, which will make it "steer" when you hit a bump.

If you don't have the CC plates they won't be able to get the camber back to within specs and you'll start to eat up your front tires. There is no adjustment in the factory plates.

There is some adjustment in the factory plates, but not much. With my stock plates and my car being lowered quite a bit, I can get 1 degree of negative camber out of the driver side, but non on the passenger side, I can get a ton of positive camber on the passenger side, but thats no good, so I need caster camber plates.

No I did'nt, these guys are asking about adding a cam...appearently whare the strut bolts up at the bottom ,the holes wear out and they sometimes require these,"cams" I did ask about cast&camber plates and they said they would do what they could without adding them, but they did say that they prefer them.

Get them. When you start eating front tires up you'll end up finally getting them and then having to get the car aligned again

Sounds to me like the shop has a decent idea as to what they are doing. See what they can do. As stated above, there is some adjustability (involves grinding of rivets, etc) there, but no use buying them unless you need them. I put the pro-kit on mine, and got away without them. I also watched the guy do it all, so I am pretty confident he did it correctly.

$160 is a realy good price. Remember you get what you pay for and your suspension is definatly an area you dont want to cheap out on.

I agree, I'm pretty anal about the slightest vibration,pull,humm,etc. I tend to sound cheap because...well I am.(wife,kid's,bills....mustang)
