It seems that my 98 gt follows every little dip in the road. I literally have to drive to keep it in my lane. If I hit a grove or a bump the tires and the steering seem to follow it so I have to steer and hang on tight to the wheel every day. Any idas? Thanks

my car feels like this too, i think it has to do with how wide tires act.. they just track the road more

mine seemed to do it alot more right after i got my tires rotated though

It has quite a bit to do with your specific tires and the caster/camber/toe settings. Because of the mustangs' suspension geometry, wider tires tend to climb the ridges in the road which is what you notice.

Certainly, the problem is worse if there is something loose in your suspension or out of adjustment. Carefully check the tie rods, tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel hubs and alignment to make sure everything is tight and in spec. These can make the problem worse.

When I first replaced the rims on my car I put a set of 245s all the way around.. I had the same problem, every dip or rut in the highway seemed to grab the front end and it would dart to one side. Made it look almost like you were drunk sometimes. When the back tires were worn and ready to be replaced I put the front tires on the rear and replaced the fronts with 225s. This is all it took to fix mine.

i have the same problem but 225 and 245 are stock sizes

i have dunlop 8000 245 up front / 315 out back:eek:

which r damm $ and wont be buying them again

i see others with big tires outback and smaller upfront and they are fine:shrug:

good luck:flag:
