All Season Performance Tires.

I am about to get rid of those piece of crap Goodyears.
I have narrowed it down to 3 All Season Performance Tires.
BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDWS
Continental ContiExtremeContact
Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S
Has anyone here used any of the above All Season Tires? Would you recommend any of them?
I read the surveys and looked at the ratings from Tire Rack.
The Pirelli All Season tire is rated Number 1, got the best ratings, dry, wet and snow. Plus it seems that the overall surveys for all three the Pirelli's seemed to have the best surveys from the people.
With this said and done I am leaning towards the Pirelli's but would like to hear from anyone has the Pirelli's, and what you think of them in all weather, dry, rain and snow.
Any info would help.

I have the BFG KDWS, stock size on my mine and so far they are great. I haven't had them in the snow yet, just got them in the early part of spring. They do great in the rain. My car is a daily driver. I can't say anything for the other brands you mentioned.

I also have the KDWS's, I love there dry handling capabities, they handle 200X better in the rain than stock (that doesn't say much though). I have not had them in snow either, I have had them for about 3 months, they are quiet and ride nice. One of the main reasons was the price, I had my delivered for $130/tire.

All Season Tires.

Thanks guys for your feedback. I heard good things about KDWS. I know they do well dry and wet but just wondering about the snow.

I would imagine with the way the tread pattern is and the softness of the tire that these will do fairly well in the snow. Our cars such in the snow, I don't car what any body says. I grew up in the upper penninsula of Michigan and seen/driven in deep snow, but I have driven nothing that handles worse then a Mustang. Way too much low end torque, there was days when I lived in Wisconsin that I would just simply let the clutch out with no gas and the car would just sit there and spin the tires.

The two tires I have used, and would recommend for all-seasons, are the Sumitomo HTR+ & and Dunlop SP Sport-5000. I have used both of these tires in the rain, snow, ice, salt , and on dry roads. I have the Sumi's on the car now, and have driven them in as deep as 3" inches of untreated snow. Got along just fine, considering that it was a Mustang in the snow.

If you're worrieda about snow, get some real snow tires and 16" rims. All seasons won't cut any real amount of snow. If it's slushy, that's not snow dammit.

I have the Continental ContiExtremeContact tires and like them a lot. I love them and they have a whole lot better traction in the wetness. I haven't had it in the snow yet as I just got them this spring. I love the tread pattern and would highly recommend these!

Bridgestone Potenza RE-750 on the 01 GT - unreal wet and dry traction. We love 'em.

another bf goodrich comp t/a owner. I got the KDW. Freaking awesome tire. I got 255 45 r17's. Great handling and great on wet roads.

I bought two of them for $310.00 installed and balanced. They are worth every penny.

I have BFG G-Force KDWS's - drove them in the snow once. I was actually able to drive uphill with a couple of inches of snow on the road, with NO slippage. This was news to me after my experience with the stock Goodyears, which were admittedly bald by the time I replaced them.

My overall experience with HTR+ is I guess okay for the price but I definitely don't recommend them as performance tires. They don't comepare to any of the tires you listed. They don't do so well in the snow or in the rain. I mean, they are better than stock goodyears but actually are not all that great. Their sidewall is very soft and you break lose everywhere. But you can't beat the price I guess. If you want to get a TRUE all year performance tires don't get the sumi's. Also I didn't hear that many great things about Dunlop Sp Sports either.

In YOUR opinion...that is correct, my friend. I haven't experienced any of the problems that you mentioned, and there is absolutely no comparison with any all-season tire versus the (IMO) junky and overpriced Goodyear gatorbacks. I based my purchasing decision on the literally hundreds of reviews (positive & negative) that are available to read at tirerack.com. I don't care about TRUE this or TRUE that, but just need a tire that will actually hold-up (40K warranty on the Sumi's), and do what I need it to do.

I've been running ContiExtremes for about a year and love 'em. Great grip in wet, dry as well as snow. Plus, they have a stronger sidewall which helps rid some body roll when cornering hard. At work, we've been installing a lot of them on Audi Quattros, Saabs, Porsches and BMWs with quite a bit of positive feedback from the owners.

All Season Tires

Hello,
Thanks for your responses. Still up in the air on which tire I want to buy. Will be heading over to the Tire place this coming Saturday and talk to those guys and see what they recommend. Been dealing with this tire place for 20 years and they are very knowledgable.
Question I have for you guys on tire size.
I presently have the stock bullitt rims with the standard 245-45-17 Good year tires.
I was wondering what size you guys installed. I am leaning towards the 275-40-17 size for the all season tires. I read on another site that the all season tires run on the small size, not sure if that is true or not.
But if you ran the 275-40-17 All Season tires, where there any issues? Did the place that installed the larger tires give you any heartburn, such as they are to big for that rim or they wouldn't fit right and did they install them anyway?

I second that! I have these as well and they are excellent in the rain. I couldn't beleive a Z rated tire could perform so good in the rain.

I don't know what this aggressiveness is all about.. i just shared my experience.. if you were offended i apologize.. but if you don't always take other people's opinions, especially the ones that's not in par with your own, it would be some much easier for all of us.

:OT: I interpreted your response as a criticism of my experiences with this tire, so just thought I would react to your reply with the same degree of harshness. The original poster was inquiring about opinions on all-season tires, and not opinions on others' experiences with a particular tire. Apology accepted.
