I want to lower my car, but I'm afraid that my headers will hang too low. I have the Hooker long tubes and they already scrape ground occasionally. Anyone have problems being lowered with long tubes or do I worry too much?

I have Hooker LT's with H&R Supersports, and yes they hang low. You just have to be careful going over large speedbumps and up/down slanted driveways/garages, etc. No biggie--the gains in handling from the springs far overweigh the loss in ground clearance.

My Hedman's hang a little low and I run cut Ford "c" springs. No major issues except the normally expected ones.

I have the Flowtechs, which are the same design just not the "quality" or yours and I am running the "C" springs as well. I have zero issues with them scraping, the only thing that really scrapes it the front swaybar. However, when I am in snow my car suddenly becomes the bright yellow snowplow.

I scrap on occasion on big speed bumps when I don't slow down enough, but that has only happened 2x's since I've had the headers. I have Steeda sports.
I like pictures.

Those seem to sit pretty high up. What kind of headers are those (who makes 'em)?

Thanks for the help guys. It sounds like I'll be lowering it soon. My next question is how long will it take before the ceramic coated headers start to peel and rust? I bought the car with the headers on it and down around the collectors the finish has peeled off and is rusting in some spots so I'm trying to figure out how long the headers have been on the car.

Headers and springs in sig. I only scrape the collectors over giant speed bumps if I hit them at any speed higher than .5 MPH. The rest is gravy.

They are Mac Ceramic LT's.
I got under the car to check and all of the scrape marks are on the Prochamber not on the LT's. So i guess the PC hangs lower than the LT's.

I "had" H&R SuperSport srings in my '03 convertible until I got my BBK LTs installed, but I had to change them out since there are a lot of speedbumps near my work. The sound of scraping metal just made me jump everytime.
My cats had about 3 different colors of paint from the various speedbumps...

I've switched back to stock springs for now, but will be installing some Eibach Pro-Street springs to bring it down just a little...
