... I know there is a member with the FRPP strut tower brace with the FRPP plenum cover, Did you need to shim in to fit?? What about the member with the v-6 brace??

The Bullit & V6 brace both will work on the GT & clear the plenum cover fine.

The V8 brace just doesn't have the clearance with the factory intake cover. The only way would have been to add some shims like you suggested, but you might run into clearance issues with the hood. If I remember correctly, I would have needed to add about 1/4" to 3/8" of an inch worth of shims to it to get it to fit. I eventually upgraded to the Bullitt (same as the V6) brace and it fits great.

I have the oem Bullitt brace which is the same brace as the FRPP V6 brace,
clears the oem manifold cover with room to spare, no need to shim.

Lol, didn't they make one for the old Mach 1s??? I don't think your request is too ridiculous... Maybe someday?

Check Blue Oval Industries.com
They had and may still have a terrific price on it.
I got mine brand new in the Ford box in two days for $159.95.

The unit listed on ebay is not the double tube , it's the single tube brace.

Does that etched logo plate come painted, or did you paint it?

I have the FRPP STB (for a 2010 GT) on my 2007 GT (it was given to me) and I simply used a round file to notch the plenum cover a bit so that I wouldn't have to shim the STB.
