I own a 2013 V-6 Mustang and for the last 3 years the wheels (alloy I think) have gotten progressively worse with a spidery look to the finish. No cleaning product makes a difference. Would putting on anthracite wheels eliminate a problem such as this?
Anthracite just refers to the paint or powdercoat color applied to the wheels, they're still alloys. Sounds to me like the clearcoat on your wheels is failing, the only fix for that is refinishing or replacement.
