Side Stripe Poll and 99.9% Finished Pictures

Just finished my custom console and I dont have pics of this yet, but I will have them soon. I am still waiting for my Vanity plates to come in from the registry. It turns out they lost them and I have been waiting 3 months now. They have been ordered again with a rush order and I should see them in a week. The plates I ordered are BLWN67

I am undecided if I should put on Silver GT side stripes to match the LeMans stripes. If I do I will make a custom stripe with a running horse cutout instead of the factory GT badge. What is your input on this?

Very nice... where did you get that cowl stiffener that cleared the EFI intake? I have one that has adjustable ends, but it really needs the third point. Thanks

I ordered it from Laurel Mountain Mustangs and I had to modify it to fit like you see.

That is nice!! It looks great. What color did you go with? I voted for no side stripes. It would take away from the car I think. Also, that steering wheel looks completely out of place. It should be black.

did you have to extend the front portion in front of the shock towers to get it to clear or explain? Thanks. Mark

Car looks really great, congrats on a nice build. Regarding the side stripes, I think if you are going to keep the lower molding, then don't do the stripes. I think it's one or the other, but not both.

It just fit horrible. The holes on the shock tower brackets didnt even match up to the bolts on the towers. It definitely didnt clear the intake and the main bar was resting on the distributor. I ended up cutting it apart at each weld, bending the bars to clear the distributor and intake, reaming out the holes on the tower brackets, bolting the brackets back onto the car and then I welded it all back together again.

sweet ride

I just got mine back from paint in 03 True Blue kinda similar but darker.

I think you shoud do what I'm planning on. Paint the rocker panels blue to match the car then put the side stripes on. It will look nice but not too busy down there.

couple photoshops of my ride...but I'm going to use a dark silver or gray color for my stripes.

I started a new one on the strut tower brace... now post pictures of that custom console you made, so I can look at it and decide whether or not to do one also!

Glad to hear this feedback, I had been considering getting one of those braces, but was concerned about the distributor clearance.

Think I might look elsewhere for one!

Ours fit pretty bad also. It's a Maier piece. Called them up and had them ship it to us unwelded and fixed that problem

I got the same type of strut brace as yours, but mine has a removeable monte bar. Had to modify it to fit around my mass air meter....but it had no problem missing my efi intake and dist.
