i have one that i bought used from a friend of mine like 20 years ago would it still work with todays alpines .i know that the new alpines have them built in already would it affect anything.

i always loved the old school look now i do have an older alpine cd player but i know the quality is not going to be there. the stang i picked up 5 months ago has a newer alpine in it.i was thinking of replacing it with the older style not just for aesthetic reasons but i like the knob for the volume don't have to take my eyes off the road
Some of the old Alpine EQ's had a proprietary connection so they could only be used with another Alpine. If it does,then you're basically hooped cause no Alpine deck made in the last 10-15 years will have that connector. If it just runs through RCA connectors then yes,it will work fine but you'll have to run your speakers of a seperate amp and not the deck.
