alternative to caliper paint..

I'm sure they reduce the cooling capacity of your brakes too. These would prevent cool air from getting to the caliper or pads, so you'll see brake fade earlier and more severly. The standard brake dust color I currently have will be fine for me.

that has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen....

1. They are expensive
2. They have no real purpose
3. They are ugly with fake bolts
4. THEY ADD UNSPRUNG WEIGHT FOR NO REASON!
5. Caliper paint just looks better

Haha, how does it add undsprung weight? Does it rotate with the wheel? It's attached to the hub which is sprung.
Wait, its still unsprung isn't it? I mean wheels/tires/brakes are all unsprung components are they not? The part they are mounted to is also the spring perch is it not? Caliper attached to bracket, bracket attached to spindle/hub, spindle/hub attached to lower control arm, lower control arm is spring perch. So all of those components are technically unsprung

There are two kinds of people in this world:
-people who paint their calipers, rotor hats, dust shields, etc
-people who do not care about or respect their cars
