has any one converted a1966 mustang alternator?with a 1989 mustang alternator. with out ordering any kits. and what it takes to do at home.

Did you get a free 89 Alternator or you plan on buying one? I would just get the 1 wire 3g Alternator from the newer Mustangs, its 130 amp and its easy as pie to install, the earlier internally regulated alternators are a little more involved.
