Need help!
I'm installing a -87 HO, with -89 HO Electronincs (mass air) in a AC Cobra build. I bought everything used and imported it to Sweden. I have connected everything now, but I'm missing parts and knowledge how and where to connect the alternator. Both connectors..?
See attached picture (don't mind the colour..)
Please fill in my lack of knowledge
Best regards

Thanks a lot!
Now I've got several input that state that I should go for a 3G alternator instead. (-94-95 130 A) So thats what I'm looking at right now. Found a dussin at the salvage-website here. What I recongise is that the D-connector still is ther and then one main. Any detailed description on this?

You want to find the following 3g alternators.

130 Amp Alternators (Grab Pigtail if you can)
Mustang 3.8L (94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00)
Mustang 5.0L (94, 95)
Taurus/Sable 3.0L (93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99) except sho
Thunderbird/Cougar 3.8L (94, 95, 96, 97) non sc

If you are having trouble finding one in a junkyard, Rock Auto sells a new one for about $100 US. Don't know if or how much shipping is to Sweden.

Here's a write that shows you pics, although I strongly disagree with cutting of any wires and do NOT attach the existing power wires from the 2g harness to the post on the 3g alt. You can simply tie into the stator wire with a scoche connector and tape off the existing plug from the 2g. You need to run a 4g wire from the alt post to the + side of the starter solenoid and run a fuse inline.

I bought this 4g kit from a vendor on another forum. Buy it- it will save you time and money and has everything you need except the alt.
