Alternator Mount Question?

Hi,
Can anyone get or give me an accurate measurement of the length of the spacer between the stock alternator housing and the head on a 289/302 passenger side alternator? I am eliminating the smog pump and the combined bracket for it and the alternator and all I have are the alternator brackets and a universal (too long) spacer. Any help is appreciated.

As per usual "YOU DA MAN" with the info/answer! That spec is right about in the middle of the range I expected, a little more than 1-5/8" and a little less than 1-21/32". It's nice to have the exact dimension, as I hate poorly aligned pulleys/belts.
