To start off, I've never replaced the alternator and I'm having a problem even finding the tensioner to remove the belt. I can't seem to find a good tutorial online anywhere. Can someone give me a few tips on where to find the tensioner? Once I find that, I should be fine unless there are hidden issues otherwise it looks like a pretty straightforward bolt on replacement

Thanks

The tensioner in mounted to the alternator bracket. I would suggest buying a Haynes manual or a Chiltons manual for your car in order to help you with things like this.

Mmmm yeah...if you don't know where the tensioner is I don't recommend you start pulling things off that if not replaced with some idea of how things should go could cause serious damage. At the very least, buy a repair manual or find someone who has done this before.

I'd have to agree (We mean it in the least offensive way). A cheapie manual from the parts store should be a great help. Otherwise, figuring things out alone or repairing broken parts can take awhile and cost money.

Good luck.
