So today I'm in class and do an AC ripple test (DMM) on my alternator. Looks fine. Then I do a D-Tek electrical systems test on my car and it's saying that my AC ripple is too high and my alternator fails the test... I retested under two machines and both say "fail".
So my question is: Is it worth me trying to do the rebuild (don't I only need a new diode?) or is it best to just get another one and if so which one?
