My mechanic says I may need to buy a new alternator. I'm based in the Philippines so I'll need to import one from the US. I have a 69 Mach 1 w/ 351W/C6, power steering and A/C.
What's out there?? What should I get?? Where should I get it??

To the problem. Your alt is showing a charge when you rev it. At idle with the A/C on it drops to about 11v. I think your alt is working fine.
I would check your voltage regulator. Even if it's been replaced before!
Believe me when I say, replace it even if it has been replaced already.
Edit: I like to use the later regulator for my 67. part: C8TF-10316-A its rated for 55A It's a relay type. Large housing. Quit using the full electronic ones, after a brand new one, gave up after two months. Scratched my head on that one for over two weeks.
hhead: yeah I was debating whether to use my old post or start a new one. It seems the consensus is that the alt is good. It's already internally regulated so I'll be going with a smaller pulley and see what good that does.
2+2: I only checked in now and I got your message. Thanks for the link. I have a freight forwarder in the US and they have GREAT rates so I'm not limited to vendors that can ship overseas.
