Yes there is no specific one for manuals/autos. Check outebays and corral/stangnet classifieds, I just scored on for under $180 to my door. Actually it was $165 to my door (I'm getting some $$ back).

My buddy is selling his car. Trying to get him to swap my stock one and some $$$ for his alum in his fox. :wink:

His is basically brand new. Has maybe 1000 miles on it while breaking in a new engine.

The best thing is knowing it's never had slicks on the car.

Looks like $100 and my stock ds. WOOT!

Awesome... just moved this up from this w/e to tonight. Might try to make it to the track for a few runs on Saturday if the weather holds.

$100 and a new DS later: Not much seat of the pants difference. LOL - it's a "little" smoother I guess.

But we did find out my input shaft has a lot of play in it.

There's not much gain from it just a little less rotational mass to move. Sucks you input shaft is going south.

Plus, new u-joints... My stock u-joints had 193,000 miles on it, unless a previous owner replaced them.

AODE's obviously aren't as hard on u-joints as a manual tranny car.

Talked to my transmission buddy. He said the play is okay as long as it's not in and out. Also I meant OUTput shaft. He said the DS is what keeps it in place.

Guess it's been a while since I had my tranny out. Dang am I getting old, can't remember anything.
