Alum intake ?

After the first warm up, do you re-torque the intake when it's hot, or wait til it fully coolest off? Do you ever re-torque it after that?

I repeat the torque sequence 4-5 times before running it at all, then never afterwards. Never had one leak.

Yes, torque it 3 to 4 times when installed using suggested sequence (starting in the middle and moving out) before running the engine. If I remember correctly the torque spec is around 23 foot pounds. Start with 10 pounds through the entire sequence, then jump to 15 pounds, then to 20 pounds, etc.

Use a SMALL torque wrench if possible as it will give you a better reading. I go back after the motor is run a few times and do a final check.

It is so easy to over torque intake, heads, carbs, etc and that is where most people get into trouble.
