Does anyone know how much HP/Torque an aluminum driveshaft can handle? I putting in a 347 soon and would like to know if I need to use my steel one or not.

Thanks

I dont know if its stronger or not. But I know its bigger in diameter. Could cause clearance issues with exhaust, etc., Also the only reason I ever seen people get them......was because they had vibrations while driving after new gears. The aluminum driveshaft seemed to fix it for them.

well i have never heard of ne1 getting big gains in the quarter from just an alum ds. but with your mods. a alum ds and flywheel. would help your 347 get into the higher rpms alot faster. where it really makes power at.
