What does a pair of aluminum heads weigh? Fully assembled, AFR's if it matters. I'm trying to calculate postage, they're in their original box if it matters.

Thanks

Fully assembled I would put them at about 35 each.

Bare Trick Flow TW heads are either 24 or 26 If I remember right.

I would think assembled would not add more than 10lbs per head, probably closer to 5?

USPS max weight is 70lbs, hope they're under that.

Just ship them separately if you have to. Make a separate box for each out of 2x4 and some thin plywood I shipped a set of cleveland heads that way.

My fully assembled AFR's (together) were 63lbs I believe in the package from Ed. I know I paid Ed $35 dollars shipping for everything he sent me. cam/roller rockers/pushrods/heads/gaskets/lifters/etc.

Ok no offence but why exactly did you think he wanted to know the shipping weight of heads that he does not own...nor does he want to ship??

He was asking about aluminum heads. While he has AFR's, I HIGHLY doubt that there is little if ANY weight difference between AFR's and TFS heads.

Woah, what happened here?

Anyways, found a scale and weighed them in box. 68lbs! 2 lbs under the max for USPS.

Thank you to everyone for their help.

You need to not talk down to people offering their advice. So what if he doesn't have TFS heads? I doubt AFR's weigh any different. What's the title of this thread? Oh yea! Aluminum head question, not AFR head question.

I asked you a question chris..you answered it. The fact that you FELT I was talking down to you is actually YOU reading too much into the intent of my question. Perhaps in the future you could ask what was meant by a question rather than respond like a 16yr old..unless infact you are 16 and now I've offended you again. I'm disappointed that someone who's been around here so long would respond to a question in such an ignorant manner. By the way your inital post was infact an excellent answer to his question up review of his response.

Actually I'm not 16, so no offense taken. Maybe I should haven't been so harsh in my original reply. It just seemed like you were giving off some attitude like 'why am I even talking?', lol. If I misunderstood you, then I apologize.

I've found that 99% of internet fights begin with a misunderstanding.

Black letters on a computer screen don't convey emotion or meaning very well.
