has anyone ever bought wheels from americamuscle.com? if so were you satusfied with the quality of their product? i bought FR500s from them and 2 of them are either chipped and bent. should i send all 4 back and buy someplace else or just get the 2 replaced? i dunno what quality of product to compare them to. like is wheelreplicas wheels any better? the ones i got look crappy. with splotched of black on the machined lip...i dunno

I feel your pain. I went through a couple of sets of wheels from AFS wheels and finally gave up and got my money back. They had horrible quality. Wheel replicas have a zr on their centercaps and I heard that those wheels are made in the same plant in china as giovannis and dubs. So I would think the quality is pretty good. I personally have not seen american muscle's wheels so I can't comment on them. Ups also beats the piss out of there packages. They damaged one rim on three different shipments from afs to me.ifyou really like the wheels maybe give them one more chance.

I bought my silver FR500's about a year ago from LMperformance.com. All 4 of my wheels were in perfect shape & the finish still looks excellent. I didnt have any problems with them & the shipping was pretty fast too. Oh yeah the prices were about the same as AmericanMuscle, who I tried to order through 1st but they said they were backordered 4 a few months. AmericanMuscle's customer service was pretty crappy 2 BTW. Im glad I shopped around.

AmericanMuscle's customer support was awesome for me! i bought 4 FR500's and a set of the 3-spike spinner style center caps. well the center caps are totally incompatible with the FR500 wheel (spikes dont clear the spokes of the rim because of the rim design itself) so i talked to one of the guys and he called me later and was amazed nobody had caught onto the problem, gave me a RMA and i had them returned and refunded.

Either your rims were damaged in transit (how do the boxes look?) or someone spaced when they recieved them or didnt check them before sending them out. Im almost positive AM will get you a RMA and send out new rims, and then theyll either figure out the problem on their end or go after the shipping company to get their money back for the rims. Give them a call, awesome people IMO.

My only customer service experience with AM was the couple of times I called them to ask questions about parts, I didnt like the salespersons aditude because they acted like Im doing something wrong by asking questions. Im not a noob asking noob kinda questions, I just like to do my research & check around for the best part & price for my money b4 I just go & order stuff. For example, thats why I like Maximum Motorsports service so much because they are always willing to answer questions or take the extra time to help out there customers.

Now Im not saying stay away from AM, Im just stating that I didnt have a good experience dealing with them.

when you are looking around websites for rims look at the center caps. american muscle's have that weird M on them and wheel replicas and cruizin concepts have the ZR on them. Other companys sell the wheels with the M on the center cap so if you don't like american muscle's then don't buy them because they came from the same plant. I had a bad experience with cruizin concepts also but that does not mean it will happen to you. good luck. I'm over three months into paying for a set of wheels and still have nothing thanks to the incompetence of both of those companys.

Call up AM and they will help you out! Their customer service rocks IMO, they shouldnt hesitate to replace them for you.

Iv dealt with them ALOT of times and am pretty much always VERY VERY happy. And if something doesnt seem right, they help.
Just dont buy a tune from them lol...only bad thing I have had from them. My tune was WAY lean (14-15 A/F!) ...but in their defenece they promptly offered to reprogram it for free based on my dyno. I understand you cant get everything perfect, but man stay on the rich side if your going to do a mail tune haha.

BTW we have bought a total of 4 DD bullitt rims from them (they are made by wheel replicas) and they were PERFECT..or very close to it.

sounds like some folks just got lucky with their experiences with AM. most including myself have had issues. i dunno. you would like to think they could get it right the first time with any product from any company....like it was goin on their car is how they should treat it. i work in a service dept and its not that hard to live up to the customers expectations if you just do your job properly.

im hearing too many mixed messages from you guys and at other forums. ill give em one chance to make it right....if its not done the way i want, ill go someplace else.

AM use to have them manufactured by the same people as wheelreps but have recently changed. this may be therir problem.

i bought a set of hypercoated FR500's from AM and a lot of other items in the past, never had a problem that couldn't be fixed. I ordered steeda pedal covers once for an auto but they sent me manual, called them about it and they promptly sent me the correct ones and a prepaid mailing envelope to ship the old ones back.

i bought a set of black fr500 rims from american muscle too and like a week after having them i noticed the back one rims the clear was flaking on it so i called them up 2 days before the warranty was up,just because thats when i could get around to it,then they told me to take pics and send them, did so and didnt hear anything for a month, called back and spoke with the same person and he tells me you will get a call back today-nothing.so i wait a while longer and finally i call them back and i speak with a girl there this time explain what happend and how i've been waiting like 2 months(in this time period the other wheel messed up too) so then i told her i originally called about 2 wheels that were messed up.everything went quickly from that point,2 days later i had brand new wheels with shipping labels to send the old ones back.

I have bought a set of wheels from AM. They where fine.

Hell they are all made in China and probably in the same factory so with anything made in China, quality can be hit and miss.

I bought my back fr500 from ebay. 18 x9 and 18x 10. One wheel cracked and leaked air after 3 months . They replace the bad one with new .
