annoying belt problem please help

hey guys.
hey guys in my sig are my current mods, And the problem with my belt is that i deleted all my front accessories and only running the alternator. I reversed the tension of the belt tensioner and im running a stock alternator and water pump pulley (running 33.5in belt). when i start the car theres no squeeling but as soon as i hit the gas pedel the belt screeaaamms and will not stop. i have tryed everything and some to try to stop the squeeling.i am woundering if anyone who is running this belt setup has had this problem and how they fixed it? is it that i reversed my tension the wrong way?
thanks replys would be awsome i dont get many.
Tim

How did you reverse the tension of the belt tensioner?

Most people who delete everything except the alternator leave the tensioner where it is and run the belt on the topside of the tensioner pulley. Then they run a larger water pump pulley to have more belt surface riding on it.
Then you find a short enough belt and pull out the top alternator bolt to move the alternator closer to the bracket while putting the belt on for room.
Then pry the alternator back into position and put the top bolt back in to tighten the belt.

I hope I didn't confuse you. It is the best way I could word it.

No that just made 100% sense i never thought of it like that i will do so right now and try it out. So ur saying i should put tension back to normal and get a shorter belt and disconnect the top bolt and route me belt then pry it back to proper spot and screw in the bolt?

thanks alot for the reply

Yes. Put the tensioner back to normal and run it over the top side of the tensioner pulley.

Then loosen the alternator bolts and remove the top bolt to move it a little to slip the belt on then pry it back to the spot to screw it back in. Then tighten the bottom bolt.

I think you got it.

Here is a diagram on belt routing and short belting if it helps any
