annoying rattle...need advice pls

I have a rattling sound coming from underneath my car. It started about 2 or 3 days ago and it's up to the point where it's pretty noticeable. When my car is at a light or a stop sign you can't hear it, but when I accelerate and hit about 2-3000 rpms you can hear it rattle. about a year ago I had a similar problem and I took it to midas where they said it was something to do w/ my x-pipe and the 02 sensors. They fixed it and a year later it's starting again...If it's the same problem, how do I go about fixing it myself? I got under there but nothing seemed loose as far as the 02 sensors...any suggestions?

I was told by a mech. friend that its just exhaust rattle and its common. Also he said not to worry unless you hear it over the sound of the syncros, to the point where it drowns out their sound.

Anyone with more knowledge should be able to help you out, but as far as I know its not something to panic about.
