I stumbled upon this site on a hint from a fellow member over at Foureyedpride.com. I am glad to see a whole 2.3l forum! I have 2 2.3L's, which are in fact my only 2 cars (the 2002 Ranger is actually my wife's). I've got my bone stock, rust free 88 LX as my daily driver and my 86 Capri GS as my fun car. I got tired of the 1 barrel carb on the Capri finally and am just finishing up putting a Motorcraft 5200 (from an 80 Capri), Duraspark distributor, and MSD 6A ignition box on it. I plan on doing exhaust (Ranger header and better catalytic converter) this summer. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions and answers for others!

Ethan.

Howdy.

Some of us have "been there, done that" on the 2.3L, although I don't have any experience with the carbed versions. You should be able to find most of what you're looking for here.

That was one thing that was lacking over on Foureyedpride was 2.3L people. I'm glad to see so many people still running them! My main expertise is in the carbed ones, but now that I have an EFI 2.3L also, I'm beginning to learn fuel injection stuff as well.

So far I've only owned Ford vehicles with 2.3's in them Never realized that until just now.

Granted, my Tempo has a 2.3 HSC in it, but it's still a 2.3
