Hello everyone, new to the forum and looking for some advice, I have a 1998 mustang GT with a 2V, Long tube headers, x pipe and SLP loudmouths, Short throw shifter, Upgraded throttle body, new intake manifold and new Bosch gauges installed infront of the shifter, for oil pressure tempature and voltage. Engine has unknown mileage as I just recently rebought the car after I sold it 10 years ago and tracked it back down, and the odometer is still sitting at 98xxx miles... After practically replacing everything on the engine sensor wise, plug wires COP and tracking down a mystery misfire which happened to be a a wire ground out on a new COP (Strange) I was merging into traffic and noticed my oil pressure gage dancing a little, kept an eye on it and it was fine. A few days later I was again pulling into traffic and got on it to feel a loss of power and noticed that the oil pressure gage on the dash was reading nought but my Bosch gauge was reading oil pressure but was a little low, pulled over to discover that the oil pressure switch had broke and I was losing oil through the switch itself. I limped it about a half a mile home and parked it. After realizing that the oil filter adapter had an oil cooler attached to it I went ahead and replaced the oil cooler and oil filter adapter with an oil filter adapter off of a 2002 mustang GT and replaced the oil pressure switch as well. After changing what oil was left and a new oil filter I attempted to crank the car at which point it stumbled but still fired up sitting in the driver's seat my oil pressure gauge was reading way too much oil pressure but after about a minute the oil pressure went down to normal. The car is not overheating there is no ticks there is no knocking and I feel as if there's still a slight loss of power but I am having a heavy blue smoking issue which I know is indicating burning oil. I'm due to have a compression and leak down test done soon but I was wondering if the overabundance of oil pressure when I first started the car could have caused a humongous amount of blow by into the engine. This car has been nothing but a nightmare since I rebought it almost like she's mad I sold her lol. It smokes the worst when I rev it and get on it. And it does smoke at idle. I haven't had the time recently to really look at it so it's been sitting for about 2 weeks I'm going to attempt to give it a startup tomorrow after checking the oil level to see if it's still leaking into the engine. I don't really have any gearhead friends around me and can't really find anywhere else that someone has had this type of issue so I'm reaching out in hopes to get some ideas because honestly it's been driving me crazy.
