another 5 lug question?

getting ready to start my conversion, i want to put ss lines on but the question is im doing sn95 spindles, if i get ss lines for a sn95 are the threads the same where they connect to the brake line? or will i have to get ss lines for a 88 and bend to fit?

I bought Russel SS Braided line when I went to 99GT brakes. I think I ordered them for a 99GT and I had to buy an adapter from 50resto. Which was only like $3...

where the braided line fits to the hard line. i was reading somewhere on here about the brake lines but i cant find it. my buddy just bent his stock ones to clear his rims but he is running 18's and im only running 17's

the braided line connect right to the hard line.

you should be fine unless your going to be running a super wide wheel...

I dont see why you would need to bend anything. Braided lines really cant be bent anyways.

Maximum Motorsports has the Braided lines made for the Fox so you dont need an adapter.

there is one other way little cheaper to do i done it a few times SVO front rotots bolt right on. need 2 left side axls from a ranger 8.8 OR 7.5.

are Russel lines the only cheaper SS lines, or are there other decent brands out there...

I saw that the Russel ones included the rear line too, for the same price as the MM front two..

Also are they really really worth it with other OE brake parts?....Im thinkin of just getting the SS lines and SS caliper sleeves and no fancy pads/rotors for now..

You never specified which caliper you plan on using with your SN95 spindles. If your using Cobra calipers you will not be able to use the stock flexible brake hose.

You really can't use the OEM lines at all. They won't physically bolt to the caliper.

Here's the deal with the pass side adapter fitting and such.

If you convert a Fox to SN95 brakes and use OEM Sn95 brake lines OR stainless steel brake lines spec'd for a SN95...then you need to use the adapter. Reason being SN95 uses two different size fittings on each side since the lines are side specific.

Now, if you order SS lines for a Fox, no adapter needed at all. You can bolt them up and go.

SS lines usually have a unversal type head which is thin and narrow and will bolt to the vast majority if not all calipers. Aside from the banjo bolt, Fox lines should work with the 99-04 GT PBR and the Cobra PBR provided you use the correct size banjo bolt.
