So I have my wire harness all but complete, splicing metra 80-5511 in to the clarion harness.
Well the illumination wires have me stumped. The Clarion harness is an orange white stripe wire for illumination, the Metra is a solid orange. There is an orange white stripe but it is marked illumination dimmer on the Metra. There is no illumination dimmer wire for the Clarion harness....
My question is should I connect the illumination dimmer wire to the Clarion harness and leave out the illumination wire. I'm confused because I don't want to hook up a positive to a negative line and blow the head unit.
