Yes, another one. Not a classic, but another Mustang that I have always dreamed of. It's a 1988 GT hatchback with a 5 speed. I've always wanted a hatchback Fox.

It's got about 125k on it. Doesn't smoke and previous owner said it didn't burn any oil either, so we will see. I have some little things to fix on it and it's going to need a new clutch, but it should be a great daily driver for me. I will have some pics up soon. Got lots of work to do on it tomorrow!

Congrats

I always thought '87 and up Fox hatches were kinda cool - but please don't tell anybody I said this!

I keep telling 1/2NK's sister Jessie that I'd like to get her a four-banger Fox 'vert because I think it would match her personality. But her the big sister has ruined her - now she wants a 1/2-ton truck all of the sudden

Hey, a MAF 5.0.....hmmmm, would you know how to work on that?
Are you going to end up going the TFS/BBK route on this one, or leave it "daily driver stock"?

Oh, but this Mustang does not yet have MAF. 1988 Mustangs only had MAF in Califonia. So, yeah, this one has speed density right now. I am probably going to change it over to MAF in the near future. Working on it, no problem. I've learned tons of things about EFI when doing the swap to my '65. As fro modifications, they will eventually come. Right now, she's just gonna be my daily driver.

Leave it speed density until you start making big airflow mods like intakes, heads, and cams. Most of the 87-88 SD owners will tell you they ran stronger in stock form than a mass air.

Yes, I know. MAF swap won't be coming until I am ready to at least install an intake and cam.

Man, my '65 is a lot faster than the '88, but the '88 would whoop it's ass in handling. I gotta admit, I didn't realize the Fox bodies handled as well as they do.

I was also surprised how well a Fox3 held the road. For having a flexy unit body and '70s-era suspension, it sure doesnt feel like a 3200lb car.
