Sure looks weird in there.

Rumour has it that it's for F&F3.

I don't dislike it. However, I HATE the fart can on the back. At least make it look good with nice dual piping, pre axle mufflers. God knows the car has the room.

So seeing as this is the "technical" forum, I'm glad you posted it here.
Guess I'll have to go to classic talk to see if anyone posted how it was done, and what kind of performance he gets.

There is a guy here on SN (gowest) that put a Turbo Toyota Chaser engine into his classic 66 Mustang, the car is red, and he is from Bangkok, Thailand. It is easier to get ahold of a low mileage inline 6 Supra, Skyline, Chaser mill, than it is to get a 289/302 in some other countries, and parts are easier to find.

The green car was made for a movie, and a quick look into the past FF movie car specs, the Japanese cars made for the movie are usually non Turbo, and lacking any real performance options.

All this aside, the Fart can is just wrong.

yeah i think gowest's car is very well done, and i can understand why he used the engine he did, simply because that was all that was availble to him.

I agree with this. I think gowests's car is very interesting and well executed. If he had it, I would really like to see a log with his build history and how he got everything to mount up correctly.

from what i read somewhere else, according to the movie storyline, the reason the mustang has the skyline engine is because the mustang driver blew the original engine and couldn't find a suitable replacement or parts in time (the movie takes place in japan) for the big race and has to use what's available. hence the skyline turbo six.

That actually sounds kinda interesting...like TF&TF and Junkyard Wars put together. It'd be funny if the 3rd movie is actually decent to where real car enthusiasts like it and the ricers all hate it.

That's where the cone shaped air filter clamps on. They stuffed something in there to keep loose screws, sockets or whatever from getting into the vanes while working on it or else BLAMMO! - Bits and pieces everywhere!
