Ok. I've read all the relevant threads that I can find on the topic and can't dig up a solid answer. I need to order a new set of reaf leafs and want to get a good idea of where I'll be sitting when they're installed.

My '66 coupe sits level right now, with the center of the wheelwells at 25". She's wearing 195/70-14s right now. I'm looking at the Grab-a-Track 4 leaf reverse eyes, but I have no idea where that will put me. What is "stock"? I'd like to be at about 26" on the current tires. Also, how much does an extra half leaf affect the ride/spring rate?

Bump.

I'll try another tack. Could some of you guys with Grab-a-Track rear springs post the type spring you have, your tire size, and a measurement from the top center of your wheelwell to the ground (or any other measure of rear ride heigth)? Purty-pleeez

I have Grab-a-Track, 5-leaf, mid-eye springs on a 1966 (I also have a 1/2" lowering blocks installed).

tire size is 225x60x15 (25.6" height)

I believe the height is 26.0" from the center of the rear fender lip to the ground (car is 300 miles away from me right now).

Hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch, Fasttback! That's just what I was looking for.

Do you think there would be any difference in ride height between the four and five-leaf springs? Do they compensate for the increased spring rate by making the leaves flatter, or am I thinking about this all wrong?

I recently replaced my saggy 40 year old stock springs with Grab-a-Trac 4-leaf reverse eyes. They raised the rear so the lip at the highest point is about 1 1/2" higher than the top of the tire. (It used to be even) I have 225/60-14s. I can measure the lip to the floor when I get home tonight. The Grab-a-Trac leafs look thicker than the stockers and the ride is a tad stiffer. Again I can measure the springs when I get home.
