Anyone know of one? I know they have that plate for the fox body but I havent had any luck finding something for the 99-04. I dont want a shorty. I would like to just have a something that will sit close to or flush with the car and still be functional.

The second you loose your antenna, the second the radio reception goes to crap. I just have the base of a shorty antenna. Accidently hit it and broke it clean off. Took some touch up paint and painted over the exposed bit. Its black, so is my car, only stands about 2" high from the fender. I don't use the radio, so it wasn't an issue for me.

you can try to find the antenna delete used on the 2000 cobra R or a 'replica'

they do exist. but theyre not exactly easy to find

P.S. you cant have both no antenna and radio reception. it just doesnt work that way in our cars.

Just cut the stock antenna, its simple. All you have to do is pull off the little ball on the end of the antenna, cut it to whatever length you want the antenna and put the ball back on. Easy and free. IMO the best height for the antenna is when you cut it right at the roof line.

I just have the antenna removed. I don't care all that much. It's out because the cover doesn't work worth a damn with it on.

Well, that, and my friend (previous owner) can't find it.

I don't listen to the radio/CD when I'm driving anyway.

I just cut the one on my old GT, left it only about 5 or so inches high. Didn't even put the little ball back in, shaved the edges of the tip so they were smooth and rounded, and colored in the silver parts with a black perm marker. Looked clean, free, and didn't lose really any Radio reception.
