So I had the LMR disc brakes put on the car

https://lmr.com/item/LRS-232093-K/1...MIu4Xk_dCq1gIVBweGCh08dguVEAQYBSABEgJ-zvD_BwE

But they moan like crazy.

So I bought some anti-moan brackets

http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-95-96-97...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

The problem is the brackets seem like they're about a quarter inch too long so they "push" against the mounting plate and cause the caliper to seat crooked and won't allow the wheel to turn without scraping.

Does anyone know how to go about shortening these things or is this something that needs to be cut and welded?

Thanks for any help

On the axle, the flange portion that extend past the clamp can be trimmed slightly without affecting function.

I think we just need a visual of what hits. The main issue is the LRS brackets are offset inwards for the fox lenght axles and take up some room. That may be making it a bit tight.

Some pics would help with siggestings

That's because your rotors are 10 inches in diameter, and the anti-moan brackets are for later model cars with 10.5-inch rotors, and the calipers positioned accordingly...1/4 inch further out than yours.

I grinded down the brackets and got them to fit.

My issue now is the passenger caliper is rubbing, and I don't know how they got it to center onto the rotor.

I've tried using washers on the inside, but haven't had any luck yet.

Rotor touches the inside or outside of the abutments?

Finally got it... had to use two washers to shim it and then a little persuasion on the bracket to bend it up a little and it's finally working... with no moaning so, glad that's over

Thanks for the replies guys.
