i have a 2000 mustang gt with flow master 40's and its not loud enough, which would be better a catted H or a catted X kinda wanted an h because its deeper but would it pop too much

I have the American Thunder catback with MAC O/R H-pipe, pops up a little bit up top but not to bad. I actually grew fond of the popping. Video in my sig.

It will sound different, wont sound quite as aggressive but it will still sound better than having an X-pipe.

i have a mac o/r h-pipe with flows and it pops a good bit after 4000 rpms but anything under that it doesn't pop that much. my car also backfires if i really get on it from 1st to 2nd, but that might be cause of the chip i have, not sure tho...

catted x and flowmaster 40s sounds awesome. I have a bassani BTW, all my friends say they know exactly when my car is coming because its a uniquely awesome sound. but i did have an O/R H pipe before this, and my parents heard me taking off almost a mile away (quiet night) and called to yell at me!

I have a SHM H pipe with cats...I think my car sounds nice...not too loud so it's obnoxious, but loud enough that it sounds good IMO.

i have a 00 gt. when i first got it, i installed a flow. american thunder catback. it sounded good, louder than stock and a little deeper. a couple months later i installed a hiflow catted H (Mac) and it made the exhaust note noticeably louder and a little deeper than just the catback upgrade. my car (my opinion) sounds really good, alot louder than stock but not obnoxious, no popping at all but i do have drone. my duddy has an 02 with flows and off road h and is pretty loud. it has that muscle car sound. his is noticeably louder than mine but not as "refined" and i use refined for lack of a better term. his pops pretty good as he lets off the gas and the rpms are coming down, it dont sound bad, i just prefer what i have.

Remind me again what the point is of arguing over which exhaust sounds good when its a personal opinion? He said he didn't like the sound of it are you trying to tell him that his own opinion of that exhaust combo is wrong? Only thing people can say about exhaust is which exhausts are louder than others and which are deeper than others because those can be proven.

A good h pipe with Flows makes for a good sounding exhaust note. I really regret replacing the ones i blew with Ultra Flows. I tried to post my sound clip but it is too long.
