Any cowl induction Hoods for the '05 mustang?

I think Steeda is the only one for that type. You have RK Sports with two different hoods and 3D carbon with the heat extractor look (I read it is not functional, but don't know if this is 100% true). There is also CDC and Fang with Shaker hoods and finally the Saleen hood with the louvers.

Good luck with your choice!

I concurr. Many are in the works, but aside from the above, there is a Mach 1 type and a dual entry scoop that looks like these...

My personal favorite is the Saleen ( [urlhttp://www.saleen.com/body_kits.htm[/url] ), however, we are in contact with ABC Exclusive, and once thier 04 stuff is done, they have accepted my hood for a plug, and we intend to install CF heat extractors in it and build a mold. Because I will get Procharged, the scoops will most likely be Asymetric, and somewhere along the lines of the washer nozzles.

It may be a while on that though, just hope it is in time for SEMA this year.

Does the Steeda hood do anything except look good?

I think I posted almost this same question on Thursday when I asked about hoods that actually let in air. There was a post before the crash where someone had photos of their hood, including the underside, which showed a connection to the CAI box location. I have been hoping for a reprint of that post.

With that said, how does Steeda's "cowl induction" actually "induct"? It simply looks like a bump from what I can see. I think it LOOKS great, but does it do anything besides give more clearance in the engine bay [and eliminate your windshield sprayers and need hood locks, etc]??

I have an oppoortunity to buy a Steeda hood, I just don't know if it is really worth it.

I believe it was the RK Sport 2005 Mustang GTR Ram Air Hood - #18011000
