i need to get a bigger fuel pump for my nitrous kit, and i found this, but it says it only fits up to '97, is there a reason it will not fit in my 98 GT?

If you have a return system, then you can use a 96-97 pump... if its the returnless, then you use the same pump as the 99+ cars.

I believe 1998 was a hybrid year between return & returnless. The parts of the fuel system may be unique that year.

Thats what I was getting at. You could of had either. But since you have a return style system then the earlier pumps will work.

This is exactly what I was told. The '98 was "caught in between" as it has the '99's fuel delivery system. The '98+ fuel pump is also a more reliable piece. Looks nothing like the previous pump.

You should also get a fuel rail from a 1997 so that you can actually put a fuel regulator on it as well...
