any fast 4r70w cars on here?

04YellowGT has a 4R70 and I think he's gone 11.6X's. He'll probably see this thread and jump in.

Yea I ran 11.64 at 111, I had to let off at the 1000' mark do to my gears (4.10s). I've since switched them out to 3.73s but I haven't been back to the track. I think the car should run just as fast if not faster because the car pulls WAY harder up top now.

This was all done on stock 4R70W, stall and all with a 1.85 60'.

someone else on here went 11.3 but blew the trans on the very next run. I htink mostly because he had a 6spd viper trans ready to go in and ran it hard all the time.

Mine would be running high-11's if it's power/drive train were planted in a Mustang. But unfortunately, I've got an additional 600-700lbs (mostly over the nose) and Independent Rear Suspension to deal with. :(

I'm running a second stage J-Mod and Circle D modified Mercury Marauder Converter in my 4R70W

what were you using for a converter?

I have a fms 3000 rpm converter, transgo shift kit and 4:10's.

I think I'm also limited by the 4.10's I cross the finish line at 6100rpm. I have a set of 3.55's to put in it next year.

I've done a 1.77 60'. how were you launching your car? power brake? snap the converter?

I ment to say stock 4r70w AND stall. Nothing has been done to the transmission or stall, no **** kit, no convertor, nothing.

With 4.10s and O/D shut of course the car hit my 6,700k redline at 115 mph. I wouldn't go to 3.55s, 3.73s will be perfect for you I have topped out my car with O/D shut off and the car dose well over 125 and I still had a little more gear to go with the 3.73s.

I launch right off idle and sometimes power break it slightly, it really dosen't matter what I do I always 60' between 1.85-1.9.
