i'm getting my car back in about a week now and it's gonna have new everything, pretty much...


.020 over with cp flat top pistons, manley rods, gt crank, xe270 cams and patriot performance stage 2 heads. the compression ratio will be about 10.4:1.

i have pretty much all the bolt ons (pullies, l/ts, off road prochamber, maf, t/b, inlet tube and upper intake) and made 260.5 right before it blew.

any guesses or does anyone have something similar to this?

it does sound like a good combo, please let me know how you like the patriot heads, i was considering them for heads, or fox lake.

p.s. how did your engine blow on 260 hp, what went?

hmm you have the .550 lift cams right? Are those pistons notched? I would have sworn I read some place that with flat tops, there maybe piston to valve clearance issues. Dont quote me but I heard that some place on the web. Either the Corral or MD.
