Any home security peeps in here? Wanting to install my own

Needing some info on home security systems, I am building a new garage with an apt on the same floor, I want to do the install myself to keep costs down, any suggestions on where to buy systems and such is welcomed.

Hey, i actually sell Broadview systems..... Use to be Brinks. What exactly are you wanting to do? Are you wanting it monitered?

I do not need any monitoring right now. Just a great system that is loud, my local PD offers monitoring so I would like a system that has that option.

Ah, well i'm pretty sure that we dont have any systems without the monitering setup. And buying the equipment is exspensive. Here are the prices just so you have the info.... 99.00 install- 2-doors, 1 motion detector, keypad, control panel. All installed for 99.00. no hidden fees.And the monthly fee is 32.99.
