Over the past two weeks my right front suspension has started making a higher frequency 'springy' sound. Not really a squeak though, more springy. I'm not sure how else to describe it. It sounds like an old bed when you jump up and down on it. I cant figure out what it is.

It sounds really bad when going over speedbumps but pretty much makes the noise over any kind of pavement at all with the smallest bumps. It also makes the noise when you turn the wheel but you are loading/unloading the suspension slightly when you do this. I dont believe it is steering related because it will do it when you are going straight.

I just got the car about two or three months ago. I know it has H&R springs and I'm not sure what type of shocks/struts.

I tightened down on the front sway bar and the cross member to see if that would help but it didnt.

Anyone have any idea what it may be?

I wish I knew too. Its probably from all these darned potholes that are left over from the winter.

I assume you guys actually checked the springs themselves ? If the spring is broken it will make those types of sounds, especially if the broken end of the spring is rubbing on any part of the body.

Yeah, it didnt look broken. I'll look at it more later though. I cant imagine a quality spring like that breaking and I baby it over speedbumps and railroad tracks.

Look at it closely and use a flashlight if necessary. Sometimes breaks can be tricky to catch visually depending at which angle you're looking or if it's broken on the inside closer to the body.
I hear you about the quality etc. but they do break. It's not uncommon.
