Any ideas what it'll run?

I'll be going back to the track soon with the new combo, curious how you all think I will do, yeah I know, no one likes these posts...

68 mustang coupe full interior
No P/s, P/b, A/C

306 roller motor
9.1:1 SCR 8.1:1 DCR
Jay allen cam 221/226 .550/.550 114 lsa
AFR 185's
Rpm intake
650 DP
1 5/8 lontubes, 2 1/4 exhaust dumped at the mufflers (probably run open headers at the track though)

T5z trans 2.95 first
4.33 gears Locker
Cal Tracs
26*10.5 E.T. streets
Drag shocks

there are a few other odds and ends like the electric fan, UD pulleys etc... not sure on exact weight though

Will be hoping for 12's but we'll see, usually I run slower than I expect, im not expert driver either, at least not yet

Should be at the dyno before then, not expecting much over 300rwhp though

I don't like this post:lol: but this should give you an idea.

My old 306 non-roller combo in my '66 Coupe had:
8.2:1 SCR (dished pistons) Way Low DCR
Similar duration flat tappet cam XE268H with much less lift than yours
TW Heads 61cc chambers
RPM Intake
650 VS
1 5/8 longtubes

C4
3.55 Trac Lok
No Traction Devices
215/60 14 BFG Drag Radials
KYB's

I ran 13.2's all day long. You have better compression, better cam, better heads, more gear, better tires, and better suspension. I say you should be in the 12's for sure.
Of course you have to drive a 5 speed well to get into the 12's. My auto was easy. I just floored it off the line with no spin and made 2 upshifts.

It sounds like you have a nice combo. Should be a fun car.

If you don't hit 12s your granny shifting! Look at my stuff below, other than my cam being bigger and the cal tracs you have better parts than I do. If you have a light just set if a few hundred rpms before you want to shift and shift hard and fast. Don't be like some of these guys I see at the track shifting after they hit the rev limiter, by then your wasting time!

Above all else have fun!

I think that setup is capable of 12s. I would run a few GOOD passes with open headers and a few good passes with full exhaust and compare your results. dont run open headers because you THINK it will perform better.

Good luck, have fun, be safe!

I would like to see a video of your car doing a low 12 on 215 DR's. thing must look like a sleeper with those tires:nice:

WOW! 4.33's a 2.95 1st and 26" tires? You're going to find 1st gear over with before you get 20' down the track. Better have quick reflexes or a rev limiter.

that about 12.7:1 in first,

I see plenty of stock T5 guys running 4.11 and with the 3.35 first that's 13.7:1

I do have a rev limiter though.

I do have some video of it from 2 Fridays ago but I still need to learn how to take it from my digital video recorder to the computer.

It is a pretty good sleeper with the 215's on stock black steel wheels. It has no stripes or scoops and the heads are painted blue to match the engine.
With my old 302 combo it would stick and go with no spin at all. The 347 overpowers them too much so I recently picked up some MT Drag Radials to try out next time out. They are only 235's but I'll probably bog now.

mikemustang289 has 275/50 ET Streets with a nice motor combo and all that gearing so he should REALLY get out of the hole well. That's most of the battle running the quarter.
