any running a 2.80'' upper pulley w/ out a aux pulley on the 03-04 cobra?
just curious if theres alot of belt slip w/ out the aux pulley. i just bought a 2.80 pulley and now i wonder if ill need another pulley. i hope not becuase i want to keep the s/c cover on. thanx
i am currently running a 2.8" pulley w/out aux. and I do experience some belt slip between 5500 and 6500 rpm. It costs me 2psi boost. I have only ran this way for a couple weeks, but I have collected a lot of belt dust inside engine compartment. I would recommend the auxillary and to go with 100mm. A friend of mine runs this combo and he is pushing 15psi boost in high rpm range. Be ready for the torque u will produce with the pulley swap too....I dyno'd @ 473ft/lbs last weekend. good luck
I saw somewhere (sorry, cant remember where exactly) where the stock pulley cover could be slightly modified to clear a set of idlers. Might be worth checking around, and you could have best of both.
