I've been tossing around the idea of throwing one on my 306. I was planning on a victor jr, but I hear that its a great intake, and for $209 polished I'm thinking of picking one up. Here is my motor combo so far.

87 306
9.35:1 comp
hyd roller camshaft
dur @.50 232/240 .607/.617 lift 112 lsa 108 ICL
WW sr. heads
demon 750 double pumper carb
150 cheater shot of nitrous.

rest of the car is setup with a manual and a 3.89 gear with detroit locker. In a light 66 mustang.

what to do?

My buddy has a Funnel Web and loves it. He went back and forth between it and the Victor Jr. and ended up deciding on it. The engine it's on is an aluminum rodded, 12.7:1 pistoned, solid rollered, Canfield headed .060" over 289, but the roller isn't that radical. He's building a 347 to put the heads and intake on. The engine used to have an Offy 360 T-ram, '69 351w heads, and a pair of 660's on it and we twisted it to 8000 every pass. I think he's turning it to 7400 now.

Does the funnelweb fit under a flat hood? They look very tall:

The Parker web site says they're 7.25" tall from base to carb pad. Mustang hoods are notoriously tight and unfriendly to high rise intakes.

I need a new hood anyway, my shelby one is toast. I know the victor jr is 4.5" tall... so yea, clearance will be tight.
