so you didn't reinstall your snubber? I was wondering if it could be bolted back in after the weight was removed. I'm gonna play with mine when i drop the gas tank and install the fuel pump.
It is not usless dead weight as some suggest.
It is tuned to the drive shaft critical frequency and not the gear ratio installed.
If you install shorter gears that means that you will reach that critical frequency at a lower road speed.
By all means remove it if you want to but keep everything on hand just incase you have issues like I did.
my car just about shook it's self apart at 80mph.

4in bolt, it will not be used because it's too long, like i said in the other post you can just zip tie it if you like or just buy 2 nuts/bolts ( 3/8 thickness) at a hardware store
the bracket and axle where you would put the bolt thru is 5/8ths thick so a 1 1/2in bolt should do fine
