I am going to be lowering my car over the winter and i am really unsure weather i should go with the eibachs since they are 1.5 inches lowere than stock. i dont want to be scraping all the time. I\m thinking maybe the steedas because they are 1.25 inches lower. that quarter of an inch could mAKE THE DIFFERENCE BUT I REALLY LIKE THE STANCE OF THE EIBACH PRO KIT.?

i have a qa1 k-member, steeda sport springs and mac longtubes, had no problems with the LT rubbin, just got to take the speed bumps real slow of course, i did have a problem with the stock a-arms rubbing the k-member so im going with qa1 a-arms and a front coilover kit from comp, so.... i will have 2 used front steeda sport springs going up for sale

the two issues i have found with lowered long tube stangs is

1. scraping the drivers side long tube

2. you will find in some cases that the steering shaft will rub on the tubes when
the stock hieght is changed

we had to shim the drivers side motor mounts with washers to solve that problem

but this was with a mustang that was lowered around 2-2 1/2 in

I'm lowered about 2" and yeah, you just have to use common sense when going over speed bumps and up driveways. Go with the Eibach's if you like them better.

I have the Steeda Sport Springs and I haven't had any issues with scraping my LTs.. I think I might have done it twice.. once being just because I was going too fast and hit a bump and the other time over some really screwed up railroad tracks. But I can go over normal speed bumps pretty easy.

Lowered 2" with MAC LT's, and basically I just go diagonal into all driveways.. other than that, it's all good.

Oh, and watch when they're re-paving the road and those pothole covers are raised... SCRAPE!

I have mac lt's with the eibach pro springs and I won't go any lower, I like the looks of the extra drop in the front with the hr ss, but I think the harshness of the ride and the additional lowering isn't worth it. Seprophia or something like that, she has a 2002 or 3 white saleen clone vert and just finished putting on the hr ss springs (1.75 " drop)and the ride is too harsh....the midepipe flange on my exhaust hangs down lower than my headers and the clearance is real good with the steering linkage.

Just did Mac LT's and I have Steeda springs. Went to the airport tonght and went over one of those spike strips, bang and s-c-r-a-p-e. Didn't have them on for longer than 3 hours and hit 'em already. Like others have said, go slow and sideways then once you get over the bump go fast and sideways.

Ive got longtubes with Sportlines. The drop is about 2.25-2.5 in the front and I scraped over really big speed bumps but other than that no big problem. Now I have Fox body 4cyl springs cut 1/2 coil and it sits .5 lower than the sportlines. Ive got less than 2 finger gap between the tire and the fender. I gotta go diagonally on speed bumps now. When it does scrape though its on the flange where my xpipe meets the catback though, not on the headers themselves.
