Anybody put bigger line into the gas tank??

I know you can put big fuel line from tank to carb but I was wondering about the pipe coming out of the sending unit. Does somebody make a bigger lined sender or could you braze a new one in?? Thanks for any help!!

thats a really good question. I have a new 3/8" line im getting redy to put on.

NPD offers a sender for 65-68 that has a 3/8 line extension. The description says "65-68 senders all have 3/8 fitting used on 67-68's" There is no description of size for the other years.

When I did this, I could not find anyone who made a larger supply line mounted in the factory sender.
I removed the factory 3/8 line, and fabricated a 1/2 line bent to the same image. I used a jewelers torch to braze it in the opening. The filter sock WILL slide over the 1/2" line. The mounting flange is pretty thin, so don't get it too hot if you do this.
I epoxied the sending unit onto the 1/2" line in it's same removed position, and it's still working to this day.

I had a -8 AN (1/2") male fitting brazed onto the sender housing by a radiator shop so I could run -8 AN braided line right from the tank to the pump

I'll check when I get home. I know I have some pics of it hooked up, but not sure if I have any of just the fitting on the sender housing
