Anybody Tried Soda Blasting Ground Effects?

I'm getting close to paint and body. My car was repainted at some point and poorly done. Flaking paint, clear coated roof trim and stuff like that. I'm figuring on stripping the ground effects (GT car) but wondered if anyone ever tried soda blasting them? Have a guy close by that does it. Anyone??

Nobody had any luck with soda blasting ground effects? I'm about to try.

Let us know how it goes. As long as you are using a fine soda and a reasonable pressure, I think it would work well.

I soda blasted my keyboard once. Come to think of it I was on this forum

Idk about soda blasting them....but I had some sand blasted once. Biggest mistake. They were so rough afterwards, 80 grit sandpaper on a DA was an improvement. I'm glad I didn't have all of them done.

I 80'd the rest of them down, which works perfect. I follow up with 150, then I put them in 2k Urethane primer. Sanded them with 150 again...move to 320 and paint/clear them. Come out perfect every time.

Thanks man! I look back on all this crazy stuff I did...it was all worth it in the end at that time. Now.....I don't think I have it in me anymore to overhaul another fox.
