I'm considering getting one of these carbs because it's a single barrelled toilet with some nice features. If anyone uses or has experience with a predator let me know. I don't want to get one and then have surprises. Thanks.

A friend of mine ran one for a while on a 462 ci. Pontiac Drag Car. It left a little on the table compared to a 850 Holley Double pumper
From what I hear they are NICE carbs for drag and they don't really use MORE fuel just feed it differently. It's a single barrel with only 3 adjustments. It's like idle, some cam thing that changes amount of fuel at like 3000rpms and some mixture thing. I'm guessing the "cam" in the carb works as a secondary because it comes on at certain rpms NOT using vaccuum or enough gas pedal with mechanical. Kinda interesting.

I'd say the only con is that you will be a little behind as far as power output compared to a properly tuned Holley. They do have less gaskets, less parts, less to go bad and easier to tune.

All my crevices are greased.
How does it do with the mushy stuff like idle, part throttle, fuel usage....ie street driving? 3 Adjustments sounds good to me!

I remember when these first came out (predator carbs). They were notoriusly known for leakage. I guess they've come along way since those days.
