Anybody with a BBK strut tower brace?

Was my first "upgrade" when I bought my car. I love it. If your suspension is decent, you will feel tighter steering. Mine was horrible, still noticed something. Front end is pretty solid now that I have done a complete suspension upgrade.

Bar can be in the way of certain parts, makes adding oil hard unless you have a flexible funnel.

In terms of ease of install - not bad if you have a powerful drill. It took me about 30-45 min to install with a weak drill.

Ah hah! Somebody is awake out there! Yeah, install is not an issue, or clearence really. How does yours fit over by the coil cover? Any other pics of it? Looks like the washer fluid hose had to be relocated too....

It fits fine.

As for the washer fluid hose - the BBK unit has a hole in the firewall mounting plate that lets you reconnect the hose back up as it is stock once you bolt the brace into place.

Edit: Oh, and I don't have any other photos. I can take some closeup shots after work at any angle if you just let me know what you need to see.

Maximum Motorsports STB... Will clear Cobra/Sytemax/GT40/Edelbrock...etc...

No problems with mine, combined with FLSFCs, firm as a rock now. No creaking.

I bought mine for $60 from a guy here on Stangnet. Picked up some bolts at Homedepot, and installed it in an about an hour... Get a really sharp drill bit, mine were dull, and it took forever.

Love my MM strut tower brace. I have no issues with the oil filler cap on mine. I chose the MM because of how it mounts to the firewall, it bolts to the pinchweld which is a really strong point on the firewall. I would worry about the ones that bolt right to the firewall tearing the firewall around the bolt holes due to stress. That might just be me though

Hey, does the "BBK" logo on the front of the brace come off? Decal I hope vs. being etched into the part like BBK loves to do.

I've had the same bar on mine for several years and it's just a sticker that peels off. I just bought a chrome one to replace it with that I haven't even taken out of the box yet. Now you've got me worried. :(
