I have a Verizon Wireless phone.. I've been with them for about a year now and they have great service and all...My only problem is that the phone I baught from them [it's not even one of those sign up now and get a free phone deals] is a total piece of crap. When I signed up I got insurance [Thank god] for my phone and they even gave me a hassle when I had to get a new phone. In one year I had to replace my phone and my second one is just as bad as my first. The phone will turn off by itself, the battery life sucks, the tip of the antenna fell off, it takes forever to load my contact list [which isn't very large, I don't have many friends. ] and the quality of the pictures it takes is horrible.

I went to them and asked if there's any way for me to get a better phone or a new one and they said the only way would be for me to pay for a new one.. I have to pay a full price, not even one for signing up.. If I was to get the same POS phone it'd be around $200.00 they said.

Here's the phone I have now:

Does anybody know of a way I can upgrade my phone to a better phone without having to pay an horrid amount of money? Does anybody here work for them?

Thanks guys.

I dont work for wireless but I work for VZ.Depending on when your contract is up if you re-up for another year or so you can get a real good deal on a phone.Try and get the best phone you can because there is a big difference. If they don't help you out start making a big deal and threaten to go to sprint or something like that.Squeaky wheel gets the grease they dont want to lose customers. You can also try and do it online @ thier website.Good Luck.Oh yea insurance suck's.If your phone breaks you get a rebuilt one after they break your balls for 2 weeks to get another one.

ahhh I have that phone, except I'm on alltel, not verizon. But I had basically the same problem with alltel, I sent my phone through the laundry one day, and it didnt work, So I went to find out about getting a new one, and they told me I had to pay full price . So I went on ebay and bought that phone for 80 bucks, Its a crappy phone, the camera sucks, and the speaker is ****, but hey, I would rather pay 80 bucks for a phone thats in practically new condition, only slightly used, than pay 200 bucks for the same phone new. Screw wireless companies and their sales tactics that jip you! amnit:

I used to work for them, worst job I ever had Your wireless insurance should provide up to 2-3 replacements per year long as you pay the $50 deductable...I forget how many exactly but I know it's more than one. Just don't say you got it wet or dropped it in snow.

or **** them, and buy one off ebay that works on your network, if you dont mind having a slighlty used phone, I did this route because of no insurance on my phone, so Instead of having to pay MINIMUM 150 bucks for a new phone I got a barely used one off ebay for 80 bux, and I dont regret it.
