Anyone actually have the old KarKraft ram air kit?

Was looking for anyone who actually has the old KarKraft kit. I know they don't make them anymore, but I might have found someone locally. With this "kit", you cut a hole in your hood and install some fancy ducting. The ducting has a flapper on it that opens and closes. They duct goes down the hood and attaches to the air box.

Any issues with rain or water... supposedly has a 3 stage water system. Any problem with the vacuum operated flaps? I know it was pricey when they sold it... how did it hold up?

Thanks,
Jim

Just get a Mach1 hood and buy the shaker assembly. Dont do that other ghetto crap.

:OT: I remember the old Karkraft ram-air thingy - it was like the vacuum attachment from your shop vac, hanging out the chin of your car.:nonono:

You're thinking of the infamous "puddle scooper" system.

This one makes your hood scoop functional. The only real problem I can see with it is the scoop needs to be reinforced.

Also it's only purpose is to make the scoop functional, not to add any power.

I always thought it looked like a cool idea though, give the hood scoop a purpose.
