Anyone bottom out a lot at a 2" drop?

I had H&R Super Sport springs. They dropped me 2 inches and I bottomed out a heck of a lot, and the RIDE QUALITY SUCKS LIKE MAD. I got used to the ladder but I still switched to the Eibach Pro Kit because I had trouble on speed bumps.

Isn't it real bad to bottom out? Can it really mess up the car?

Depends on the type of bottoming out. If it's your shocks/struts hitting the stops, that will eff them up over time or on "too hard" of a hit. If you're bottoming out frame then you can damage alot of things, exhaust, frame rails, body work, etc.

I have no idea how much my car is lowered compared to stock but it's really, really low (but with my suspension setup it's OK to be that low)...I scrape/SLAM when there are minor dips in the road; even more so when there is more weight in the car (passenger for instance).

I had Eibach Pro-Kit springs before I decided on a course with this car and they were great! Great stance, good ride quality, NEVER bottomed out except LT's on BIG speed bumps. Lowered the car about 1.5/1.5, I ended up pulling the front isolators and it looked even better (another 1/4 drop or so), but it did add some vibration and harshness.

I am dropped about 2 inches on H&R SS springs. I bottom out every so often. As long as you keep in mind that you are driving a very low car, you'll do just fine. I only bottom out when I am not careful. When I am attentive to the conditions/bumps etc, I bottom out very rarely.

The part on MY car that bottoms out, is the cats on my MAC Prochamber. Everything else clears fine.

yes. before my new taller tires, my cars exhaust could not even clear a pine cone while lowered a lil bit over 2" in front.

I scrape my exhaust on everything. thats part of the reason on dont have any more cats on my slp x pipe...destroyed them and bits and peices started coming out my exhaust pipes.

If you dont want to take the time to baby your car. do NOT lower more than 1.5"

i think the pic speaks for itself.

Ok, I recently found out that i have to replace the rear shocks. I was thinking the Tokico Illuminas. My front struts are fine. Can i add the Eibach Pro-Kit with aftermarket shocks in the rear and keep my stock struts? Or should i just go ahead and replace them all? I mean the struts look almost brand new. Thanks
